F.A.Q. Where is “El Jiri Ecolodge” located? El Jiri Ecolodge is located inside Cotapata National Park, in Charobamba community, within Nor Yungas province, Pacallo canton (La Paz – Bolivia) at just 2 hours and 45 minutes from La Paz city by the new road Cotapata - Santa Bárbara. The last 30 minutes are made by hiking from Charobamba community to the Lodge. Is there any parking area for private transportation? Yes, Charobamba community has a set up area (near the school) to be used as a parking lot and since the owners of the lodge belong to this village they had come to an agreement with the community in order to constantly watch all vehicles parked in this area. What “green season” means? We call it green or low season when traveling is less active in the country (October 1st to March 31st) also the rainy season begins which give us a 100% green environment. What “orange season” means? We call it orange or high season when traveling is most active in the country (April 1st to September 30th) also the “fruit season” begins in Nor Yungas give us a green environment combined with sparkling yellows and reds.
